Henry VIII's wifes and children

Henry VIII had 6 wifes an about 11 children, but 3 of them was stillborn. 3 of his children became the king/queen of England. They were Mary I. , Elizabeth I. , Edward VI.

1. His first wife: Catherine of Aragon
In 1501 she had been engaged because political causes by Henry VII with his first son, Arthur. After    Arthur's dead Catherine became the wife of Henry VIII. They had 6 children, however just Mary stilled alive. When Henry fall in love with Anne Boleyn, after some complications Catherine and he divroiced.

2. His second wife: Anne Boleyn
She was the queen of England from 1533 to 1536. She was a key figure in the English Reformation. She was a commoner before becaming the wife of Henry. They had 4 children but 3 of them dead during Annes pregnancy. Only Elizabeth stilled alive. So Henry started courting to Jane Seymour with hope, they'll have a son. He executed Anne with charge of witch.

3. His third wife: Jane Seymour
They got married in 1536 11 days after Anne's dead. She was quiet and kind absolutely opposite of the second wife. They had only one child: Edward (later Eward VI.) the fisrt son of Henry! Sarcasticly Jane dead 12 days after her sons born. She is lying beside Henry in Windsor.

4. His fourth wife: Anne of Cleves
She had been choosen by a photograph without knew eachother with Henry. She didn't like her husband and he didn't like her so it wasn't a big surprise that the marrige support only 6 months. After all she wasn't so beautiful as the 3 wifes before so they didn't sleep together.

5. His fifth wife: Catherine Howard
She became the queen of England in 1540. She was a cusin of Anne Boleyn and Henry was much older than her. She had relationships with other mans so she was executed 2 years after they marrige.

6. His sixth wife: Catherine Parr
She had 3 husbands before Henry. She got her name after the fisrt wife: Catherine of Aragon -it'a a bit funny I think- She was serious and mature. She had a relationship with Thomas Seymour (Jane Seymour's brother), but she had to choose Henry... After the king's dead she got married with Thomas.
